Workshops 2002

Puppetry workshops for both adults and children are being planned to coincide with the festival. These will be facilitated by both international and local puppetry experts in different fields of expertise, including subjects such as: Scriptwriting for Puppets, Puppetry for Television, Making and Performing Junk Puppets, Shadow Puppet Workshop, Environmental Awareness through Puppetry and Masks to Unmask.

The Conference

Subjects to be examined during the conference include: A brief history of puppetry, Puppetry in Health Education and Development, Puppetry as a communication medium, Puppetry in Schools, Puppetry in Therapy, Object Theatre, The Mask in Therapy, Puppetry for Pre-School Children and its role in alternative education.
